Five Guys Oman- One of the Best Burgers in Muscat!

Most people must have heard about the Five Guys burger joint, a famous American burger joint that has made a mark all over the world. I became a fan when I visited their store in Dubai Mall. Well, I  must say it is definitely worth all the hype. So when Five Guys made an announcement of opening their store in Muscat, I couldn’t control my excitement. Unfortunately, my husband and I were on a restricted diet and we couldn’t try the burgers sooner. The wait was finally over and we made our way towards this massive restaurant-Five Guys Oman located at the lower ground level in the new extension of the Muscat Grand Mall.

Well, I was impressed with the whole store decor. A lot of food for thought boards,  news articles, peanuts station for you to munch on while you wait for the order and the smiling staff- everything was up to the mark. Well, the menu has a variety of options and you can choose about 15 toppings for your burger without paying an extra penny. Isn’t that amazing? We ordered two cheeseburgers with cajun fries and a chocolate milkshake.

Husband’s order: Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, mayonnaise,  pickles, hot sauce, and barbeque sauce- everything for OMR 4

My order: Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onions, relish, mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, and mayonnaise- OMR 4

Chocolate milkshake- OMR 2

Regular Cajun Fries- OMR 2

Total Bill: OMR 12.60

The burger was delicious. It is worth all the hype and definitely one of the best beef burgers I have had in Muscat. Well, make sure you are sure about the toppings you want to add in your burger or else, you might find it difficult to finish your burger. The juicy beef patty is cooked to perfection. The meat is extremely tender and seasoned well. Some may find it difficult to finish the burger because it is huge. All the ingredients are fresh and give the perfect balance to your taste buds.

The cajun fries are crispy and seasoned well with the cajun spice. The good thing about Five Guys is that they cook their burgers and fries with pure peanut oil which is healthy and also gives that delicious taste to your taste buds. I wasn’t disappointed with the burgers at all. The juicy burgers just made our day!

Well, the milkshake was again no disappointment at all. The thick chocolate milkshake with the right amount of sweetness and chocolate is just incredible. The best part about the milkshakes is that you can pick any flavour at the same price. You do not have to pay a different price for the different flavours.

The service was excellent and quick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They did a good job in clearing our doubts and did a good job in explaining the menu to us.

There is no tray service. They give the burgers in a brown paper bag and the burgers are packed in an aluminium foil. The fries are served in a paper glass. A different approach than the regular burger joints which we liked.

The only suggestion I personally would like to make is to have the regular bottled water as well along with the Evian water. People might not be willing to pay OMR 1 for a bottled water.

All in all, we had a wonderful scrumptious dinner. We had a happy and a satisfied tummy 🙂 Do not miss out on this place and definitely, do not hesitate to dig in and relish the burger. Just a warning, it might get a bit messy! 😉
